ESN is searching for an expert on social care workforce
In line with current EU developments on intra-EU mobility of professionals and the European Commission’s agenda on growth and jobs, ESN would like to explore key issues around social care workforce across Europe. The issues we would like to explore include planning and coordination – from child protection through to services for people with disabilities and older people, new technology for planning and training, joint work between professionals, workforce’s role in quality, and social care workforce mobility in the EU (e.g. qualifications and training).Throughout 2016, we will be researching these issues and will bring them together at a seminar at the end of the year to gather feedback from ESN members. The aim is to produce a report that will look at key issues for social care workforce mobility across the EU. This piece of work shall include key findings from research and the responses to the questionnaire provided by ESN members, their feedback and next steps, and the publication is expected to be launched at the beginning of 2017.
We are looking for an expert who is interested in working with ESN’s policy department in this strand of our work. Tasks include drafting a questionnaire to gather information from our members, gathering practices and delivering a report combining research and questionnaire findings together with practice examples. If you are interested in finding out more and applying, please find more information here.
